May 3 & 4 — “Thai Cuisine, Simplified ” Cooking Class
Join Chef Michael in his kitchen at the Hartstone Inn for a cooking class devoted to simplifying Thai cuisine at home. Dishes will include: Thai Beef Salad, Coconut Mussel Soup, Spicy Cucumer Salad, Thai Noodles with Chicken and Roasted Duckling with Red Curry and Pineapple. Classes are informative, entertaining, and of course, filled with delicious food. Weekend packages are $325/$485 and include two nights lodging, breakfast each morning, afternoon cookies and tea, a gourmet candlelit dinner for two, and enrollment for one in the cooking class. Following the unveiling of 2008's crop of lupine seeds, a talk, demonstration, and slide presentation about lupine varieties and their culture to help participants establish lupine in their own home landscape. There will be lupine seedlings available for purchase, along with wildflower guide books, ash baskets, and other garden-related merchandise.
